Special pricing for Students and Faculty Members at Educational Institutions

If you are a Faculty Member or a Student enrolled full-time at a qualified education institution, you can purchase MODO at a special price as an alternate to purchasing a regular, Individual MODO License. Choose between a Permanent Education License and an Annual Education License that includes all MODO upgrades during the year. Both forms of Education Licenses are available at a significant discount, and are available to students and Faculty members who have confirmed their education status with Luxology.

What are the differences between a regular MODO Individual License and the MODO Education Licenses?

The feature sets are identical. MODO Education Licenses are for active students and faculty and are provided at a substantial discount in order to promote learning by the academic community. MODO Education Licenses are provided in two forms: 1) a Permanent License and 2) an Annual License that is kept current with all MODO upgrades during the course of the year.

How do I contact Luxology Sales to purchase MODO Education Licenses?

If you have not recently purchased a Luxology Education License product, you will have to confirm that you are employed as a faculty member or are a student in good standing at an education institution in order to complete the purchase.

In order to do so, you will need to perform the following steps:

  1. If you have not done so already, please create or update your Luxology.com user account with your education institution email address.
  2. Collect the following information:
    • Luxology User Account name (from Step 1)
    • Printed proof of Faculty employment or current Student enrollment (Education Institution ID or similar)
    • Contact information for the Registration Office of your school.
  3. Fax the information from Step 2 to the Luxology Sales Fax Number +1 650-336-1386 or scan all the information and save it into a PDF file, then attach it to an email and send it to edusales@luxology.com

When I buy a MODO Education License, will I be entitled to MODO updates?

If you want your school or institutional facility to always have the most current version of MODO, we recommend you get the MODO Annual Education License, which includes all updates to MODO that may occur during the year – at no additional charge.

Can I renew a MODO Annual Education License after it expires after one year?

Yes. MODO Annual Education Licenses are renewable one-year Licenses, so you can renew them annually, as long as you still otherwise qualify.

I am graduating from school or leaving my faculty employment and I would like to get a MODO Individual License. What should I do?

After two years, any student or faculty member with an active MODO Education License can upgrade to a MODO Individual License for the then current upgrade price (currently $495).

Can I buy a site license of MODO for conducting training classes? What about purchasing multiple MODO licenses for computer training labs?
