creation software, today announced that modo™ was used by IGT
to develop various components for two flagship
slot machines, Star Wars™ The Empire Strikes Back™ and the Indiana Jones™ Multi-Level Progressive.
Praised for its outstanding speed and flexibility, modo was
used by IGT’s artists to model and texture various game
characters and assets, CGI movie sequences, and Yoda, who is featured
on top of the Star Wars™ The Empire Strikes Back™ slot machine.

IGT
used modo to model and texture the majority of assets for several
slot machines, including lead characters Yoda, The Creature From
The Black Lagoon™, and Tipsie, as well as other assets and
background elements such as stars and coins. modo was also used to
model and texture high-quality content for the plasma displays, which
are short CGI movies that run on the slot machines.
