The special preview of the upcoming release of modo 401 continues on the Luxology website. Each week we add more images and videos as the software goes through the final stages of development. COLLADA Support Enhanced

At the recent Game Developer Conference, Luxology revealed new details about the new COLLADA file loader and saver coming in modo 401. David Vasquez, one of the most recent developers to join Luxology gave a technical “chalk talk” in an Intel-hosted session. There’s some slides from his talk here. (PDF file, opens in new window)

modo Roadshows in Germany

Luxology is headed to Germany to join our partner Maconcept.de in hosting a series of roadshows.  We will be in Berlin on April 24, in Hamburg on April 27, on to Cologne for an April 29 event and finally to Frankfurt on April 30. Luxology now a Solutions Partner

It’s official, Luxology is now a Solution Partner of Solidworks. The application and review process for this was non-trivial but we have access to all sorts of resources and advance information about upcoming releases. We recently previewed the ability to import Solidworks files in modo 401 at the SolidWorks World 2009 event in Orlando, Florida.
