The Embassy Uses modo 301 for Independent Short Film, “Terminus”
Luxology® LLC today announced that The Embassy used modo™ 301 for "Terminus," a new short film by director Trevor Cawood. The visual effects team made extensive use of modo 301’s new painting, texturing and UV unwrap tools to create CG characters that represent various urban installments and materials, including a concrete column character, an airport baggage turnstile character, and an information kiosk character.

(TFI) and Karastan. Luxology Taps Bonjour Technology for Network Rendering in modo 301
Luxology® LLC today announced that
it will be using Bonjour technology from Apple to power its upcoming
modo 301 release. Bonjour is an open, standards-based networking
technology that automatically connects electronic devices on a network,
allowing them to interoperate seamlessly without any user configuration.
Luxology will ship a comprehensive upgrade to modo
that includes network rendering based on Bonjour in summer 2007.
Luxology Announces Milestone Release of modo
Luxology® LLC today announced modo® 301, a major upgrade to
its 3D content creation software for Mac OSX and Windows. A milestone
on the modo roadmap, modo 301 is an “all systems grow”
release that includes comprehensive improvements to modeling,
painting and rendering and the addition of two new core capabilities:

ZOIC Selects modo for “Drive” Effects Work
Luxology® LLC today announced that modo™ was used by the Los Angeles-based visual effects company, Zoic Studios, for the FOX action series, "Drive." An action-packed drama that follows an intense cross country road race, "Drive" relies heavily on movie-quality photorealistic CG shots to amp up the suspense as the actors race for their lives en route to a $32 million prize. Zoic Studios was awarded approximately 120 shots for the series opener and relied upon modo to model and texture several hero elements including a 1970’s Ford pickup truck, a Dodge Grand Caravan and the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse (located in Florida).
