Luxology has developed a software architecture called Nexus®. Nexus is a cross-platform, media-aware architecture for rapid deployment of 2D and 3D authoring and visualization applications.

modo is itself built from Nexus, and Luxology is actively involved in licensing this technology to companies. Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp. and Bentley Systems have licensed Nexus technology to deliver rendering and animation capabilities for their customers.

Extending modo®

You may be interested in ways to extend and customize modo.

Luxology offers modo developers the ability to customize modo from within the program itself (via LUA, Perl or Python) simply by loading a script with the F6 key. Additionally, custom User Interface forms and layouts can be loaded via the F3 key.

We also offer a free File Input / Output Software Development Kit (File I/O SDK) for modo users to implement file exchange code using Visual Studio 2008 IDE or XCode 3 development environments.
